Otto Herman Rasmussen was born February 24, 1929 in St. Paul to Otto and Sadie Nalley Rasmussen. He had an older brother Ed and a younger brother Richard. He graduated from Humboldt High School in Saint Paul in 1947.

Otto enlisted in the U.S. Army on January 12, 1951 during the Korean War. He received an honorable discharge on October 15, 1952 at war’s end.

Otto was an  elementary, junior and senior high school music teacher in South St. Paul for 35 years, plus the choir director for Bethesda Lutheran Church for 17 years. 

Otto passed away on October 12, 2002 and is buried in Oak Hill Cemetery in South Saint Paul, Minnesota.
