Samuel L Woolliscroft was born September 13, 1923 in Holst Township to John H. and Mabel Dudley Woolliscroft. He grew up in Popple Township and attended country school until the 8th grade. He graduated from Bagley High School in 1944.

Sam joined the Army on July 15, 1944 and was sent overseas to Germany. He was honorably discharged on April 22, 1946.

Sam passed away May 18, 1997 and is buried in Bagley City Cemetery.
