Arthur Oliver Zigler
Arthur Oliver Zigler was born on September 7, 1931 to parents James and Eunice (Smith) Zigler. Arthur grew up in the Zerkel, MN area and attended elementary school at the Pine Center Country School.
Arthur Zigler was self-employed until he drafted into the U. S. Army on April 22, 1953.
Arthur received his basic training in Company D, 123rd Infantry Regiment, 44th Infantry Division at Fort Lewis, Washington. He completed his basic training in September 1953, and thereafter was assigned to a Tank Company in the 123rd Infantry Regiment until November 1953.
On November 19th, 1953, Arthur was assigned to C Company of the 16th Signal Battalion. He was then assigned to B Company of the 16th Signal Battalion until he was released from active duty on April 21, 1955.
His military specialty was as a POLE LINEMAN.
After his release from active duty, Mr. Zigler was transferred to the Inactive Army Reserve under the Universal Military Training and Service Act.
Arthur Zigler was Honorably Discharged on August 17, 1961 as a Corporal, E-4.
Arthur Zigler passed away on April 5, 1994 and was buried in the St. Francis Xavier Mission Cemetery, Toledo, Washington.
