Douglas D. Ramsrud was born on September 21, 1951 in Devil’s Lake, North Dakota to Marvel and Betty Sindland Ramsrud. He grew up in the Bagley area and attended Minerva Grade School and Bagley High School, graduating in 1969. 

Doug enlisted in the United States Air Force  in October of 1970 and was sent to San Antonio, Texas for basic training. He received advanced training for Minuteman Missile Systems Analyst/Target at Chanute Air Base near Rantoul, Illinois. He was attached to the Minuteman III Squadron at Elsworth Air Force Base near Rapid City, South Dakota. He received an honorable discharge in 1973.

Doug presently lives in Bagley, Minnesota.
