Durwood “Woody” Lundmark was born March 21, 1948 in Bagley to Helge and Myrtle Lundmark. He grew up in the Leonard area and attended Happy Hollow country school. He graduated from Clearbrook High School in 1966.

Woody enlisted in the Army on March 27, 1968 and was sent to Fort Lewis, Washington for basic training. He attended AIT at Fort Ord, California. After infantry training he was sent to Vietnam with the 4th Battalion, 9th Infantry Division. He received an honorable discharge on November 3, 1969. 

Woody currently resides near Leonard.
