Earl “Bud” Smith
Earl “Bud” Smith was born December 16, 1931 in Shevlin to George and Sarah Smith. He grew up in Alida, Minnesota and attended school there.
Bud entered the Army on March 7th, 1951 and was sent to Scholfield Barracks, Hawaii for basic and advanced training. Bud was sent to Korea to join the 1st Infantry Division, 5th Army. His specialty was infantry/transportation. He also served at Camp Carson, Colorado. Bud was honorably discharged on March 6, 1954.
Bud passed away on June 16, 1997 and is buried in Bagley City Cemetery.
