Gene W. Gunderson

Gene Wayne Gunderson was born October 18, 1953 in Hibbing, Minnesota to Wayne and Phyllis Gunderson. He grew up in the Aurora-Hoyt Lakes area and attended elementary school in Hoyt Lakes. He graduated from Aurora-Hoyt Lakes High School in 1971.

Gene entered the Air Force on September 23,1971 and was sent to Lackland Air Force Base in Texas for basic training. He trained as a radio operator at Keesler Air Force Base in Mississippi. After training he served at Hill Air Force Base in Utah and at Elmendorf Air Force Base in Alaska with the 1931 Communications Group and the 1881 Communications Group. Gene received an honorable discharge on December 31, 1975.

Gene presently lives in Leesburg, Florida.
