George Wooliscroft was born July 15, 1925 in Bagley to John and Mabel Wooliscroft. He grew up in the Bagley area and attended country school in Popple Township. He attended Bagley High School but quit to enlist in the Army on November 15, 1944. 

He was sent to Camp Wolters, Texas for basic training, then was sent overseas. He was a Corporal with the 359th Engineers General Service Regiment. He received an honorable discharge on August 10, 1946.

George passed away on October 20, 1985 and is buried in Bagley City Cemetery.
