Herman Gardner
Herman Gardner was born on August 15, 1920 in Lankin, North Dakota to parents William and Emma Gardner. When he was in elementary school his family moved to Bagley, Minnesota.
He entered the Navy on September 1, 1942 and was sent to Washington for training. His military speciality was Aviation Metalsmith. He served in the South Pacific with the Black Cats, 7th Fleet Air Wing 17. He was honorably discharged on January 5, 1946.
Herman died September 23, 2018 and is buried in St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery, Bagley.
