Keith D. Baumann was born December 30, 1946 in Bagley to Floyd and Myrtle Baumann. He grew up in Bagley and graduated from Bagley High School in  1964.

Keith joined the Army on February 17, 1966 and was sent to Fort Leonard Wood for training. He attended advanced training in heavy equipment operation and truck driving at Fort Knox, Kentucky. Following training he was sent to Vietnam as a member of the 554th Construction Engineers. He spent most of his Vietnam stint 60 miles NW of Saigon. He was then stationed in Fort Hood, Texas for a year after Vietnam. Keith was honorably discharged on February 14, 1969.

Keith and his family currently reside in Bagley.
