Merlyn Beaver was born March 18, 1930 in Minnesota to William and Tilda Mae Rasmussen Beaver. 

Merlyn served in the U. S. Navy during Korea aboard the USS Leyte, an Essex-class aircraft carrier. Merlyn was a quartermaster who refueled aircraft in the Pacific Ocean. 

Merlyn passed away on December 15, 1980 and his ashes were scattered in the mountains outside Denver, Colorado.
