Milford Pergande was born October 19, 1922 in Fergus Falls, Minnesota to parents William and Myrtle Pergande. He grew up in Fergus Falls and graduated from Fergus Falls High School in May of 1942.
He enlisted in the United States Navy on May 30, 1944. He was sent to boot camp at Naval Training Center Farragut, Idaho. He served as a Seaman 2/c at the USN Barracks, Naval Supply Depot in Clearfield, Utah and at the USN Barracks, Naval Ammunition Depot in Hawthorne, Nevada. He was honorably discharged from the Navy on June 10, 1946.
Milford died March 25, 1967 and is buried in Ringsaker Cemetery, Pelican Rapids, Minnesota.
