Paul Alvin Highberg was born June 26, 1949 in Bagley to Alvin and Pearl Highberg. He grew up in the Bagley area and attended Bagley schools, graduating with the Bagley High School Class of 1967. 

Paul enlisted in the U. S. Marine Corps on February 1, 1969. He was sent to San Diego for basic training and to Camp Lejeune, North Carolina for advanced training as a radio operator. He was subsequently sent to Puerto Rico for duty with the 8th Command Battalion. He received an  honorable discharge on October 12, 1970.

Paul currently resides in Buhl, Idaho, Apache Junction, Arizona and Bagley.
