Robert Alvin “Bob” Johnson was born March 3, 1939 in Fosston, Minnesota to Thanferd and Emma Johnson. He grew up on a farm in the Bagley area and attended District 30 (Hillside) School, He graduated from Bagley High School in 1956.

Bob enlisted in the Air Force on January 15, 1957 and was sent to Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas. He received advanced training as a radar operator at Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi, Mississippi. After training Bob was stationed in Alaska with the Alaska 814AC & W and in Texas.  He received an honorable discharge on September 15, 1960.

Bob presently lives in Bagley, Minnesota.
