Willard Beaver

Willard Beaver was born March 4, 1917 to William and Tilda Mae Rasmussen Beaver.

Willard was a member of the Army Air Corps during WWII. He spent four years as a POW. He was captured on Bataan and was part of the Bataan Death March. Stragglers were shot, and then when there were bullet shortages, stabbed and left to die. When Willard was released, it was months before his family could see him because he had been starved.

After the war Willard became a B-52 mechanic at Lowry Air Force Base in Denver, Colorado. He passed away on December 13, 1985 and is buried at Fort Logan National Cemetery, Denver, Colorado.
