Zeetle B. Hill was born in Hetland, South Dakota on January 22, 1896 to Claud and Grace Hecox Barstow.  The family had moved to Mahnomen County by 1910 where her father owned a mercantile store. She attended school in Mahnomen. From 1917 – 1919 she lived in Minneapolis where she was married to Charles Hill. They moved to Clearwater County (Falk Township) in 1920 and into Bagley by 1940 where Charles was a village policeman.

Zeetle enlisted in the Army on April 9, 1945 when she was 49 years old. She received an honorable discharge on October 26, 1946.

Zeetle passed away July 5, 1985 and is buried in the Bagley City Cemetery.
