Arlan W. Dahlke was born March 13, 1944 in Bagley, Minnesota to parents Carl William and Mabel C. Dahlke. He grew up in the Bagley area and attended elementary school at Ruffy Brook District 64 and Bagley Elementary. He graduated from Bagley High School in 1962.

Arlan entered the Army on June 22, 1965 and was sent to Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri for basic training. He was a truck driver. He was stationed at Brooke Army Medical Center, San Antonio, Texas and with the 594th Transit Co., 38th Battalion, 7th Army at Worms, Germany. He was honorably discharged on June 21, 1971.

He presently lives in Bagley.
