Arnold Boe was born November 15, 1911 in Mahnomen County to Gunder and Gina Boe. He grew up in the Bagley area and attended country school through the 8th grade in Nora Township. 

Arnold enlisted in the Army on August 25, 1942. He was sent to Camp Carson, Colorado for basic training. He underwent advanced training in Camp Carson and Claiborne, Louisiana. After training Arnold was sent to the European Theater with the 89th Infantry Division. He received an honorable discharge on December 23, 1945.

Arnold passed away on September 14, 1980 and is buried in Bethel Lutheran Cemetery in Nora Township.
