Einar Einevoll was born January 21, 1911 in Helle, Norway to Pedar and Olionna Einevoll. He attended school at Helle, Norway. He came to America in 1927 at the age of 16 and settled in Bagley. The next year he moved to Seattle, Washington to work on a fishing boat, then moved back to Bagley in 1929. He farmed in Copley Township and was well known as a potato farmer.
Einar joined the Army on June 15, 1944. He was with the 811th Tank Destroyer Battalion for 18 months serving in France, Belgium and Germany. When the war ended he was in Austria and he thought he would be able to go to Norway to see his parents but his unit was shipping out. He received an honorable discharge on November 8th, 1945.
Einar passed away on September 12, 1999 and is buried in Bagley City Cemetery.
