Robert Marshall Danks was born August 21, 1933 in rural Clearbrook to Bert and Margaret Danks. He grew up in Sinclair Township and attended school at District 73 rural school.

Robert joined the Army March 19, 1953 during the Korean War and spent his enlistment stationed in Germany. He received an honorable discharge January 26, 1956.

Robert passed away February 7, 2007  and is buried in Greenwood Cemetery, Bemidji.
