Raymond Arthur Rockensock

Raymond Arthur Rockensock was born on September 21, 1948, in Bemidji, MN, to parents Arthur and Ruby Rockensock.

Raymond grew up in the Bemidji area and attended JW Smith Elementary School; and attended and graduated from Bemidji High School in 1966.

On June 27, 1967, Raymond entered the United States Marine Corps, and was sent to the Marine Corps Recruit Depot in San Diego, CA.

After completion of his Recruit Training, Raymond was sent to Camp Lejune, North Carolina for specialty training as a Combat Engineer (Welding).

After completion of his specialty training in March of 1968, Raymond was sent to Viet Nam and attached to the 3rd Tank Battalion, FMF, 3rd Marine Division.

Raymond returned to the United States in November 1969 and was discharged from the Marine Corps on February 20, 1970.

Duane Truman Johnson was born September 5, 1930 in Sinclair Township to Odin and Emma Johnson. He grew up in Sinclair and attended District 15 (Pine Grove School).

Duane entered the Army in February, 1951 and was sent to Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri for basic and advanced training. After training he was sent to Korea as an engineer. He was a construction foreman. He received an honorable discharge in November of 1953.

Duane presently lives in Clearbrook.

James T. McKinley

James T. McKinley

James T. McKinley was born December 18, 1930 in Bagley to Clifford and Berget McKinley. He grew up in Bagley and attended Bagley schools.

James enlisted in the military on March 2, 1950 and was sent to Great Lakes, Illinois for boot camp. He underwent advanced training at Chincoteague, Virginia. He then served aboard the USS Hornet (CV-12) and the USS Leroy Wilson (DE-414) as a cook, plus duty loading 40 mm guns and depth charges. His home port was Providence, Rhode Island.  He received an honorable discharge in January of 1955.

James currently lives in Washington Manor, Virginia, Minnesota.
